The domestic Goddess and her helper

Noahs' school class has adopted the Beagle Rescue this year as their Service Project. They decided to make dog beds, so Noah, Becca and I got together and sewed the beds, and then the kids stuffed them and whip stitched them closed. We taught 103 kids how to sew, and finished 46 beds in one day! I was suprised how much fun the girls AND the boys had with this project. The kids did a really great job, and the beagles will be so lucky to have nice soft beds..

Twilight!

Twilight is the most awesome movie ever. The only problem is that it isn't long enough and all the parts in the book aren't in it. Otherwise, it's great! And I plan on watching it over and over and over. And for those of you who haven't read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, what are you waiting for?

Making homemade ice cream

Becca and I decided to have the cub scouts make ice cream for our activity Thurs. It was really easy and the finished product tasted so yummy!! I bought these ice cream balls a while ago and never got them out of the box, so we decided to give it a try. All you do is fill the outer part of the ball with ice and rock salt, fill the inner part with the ice cream ingredients and then you shake and roll the balls and 1/2 hour later you have ice cream. I think Becca and I had more fun then the boys.

Scout experiments

This months theme for scouts is science experiments. We made slime (which didn't turn out to well) and we blew up a bottle of soda. The boys love doing experiments and the adults enjoyed it too!!!!

Halloween

Carving a pumpkin with Jonah! We had so much fun at Becca and Jr's Halloween party. The Coverts really should have won the carving contest, but the prizes were rigged towards FAMILY members...... next year will be our year for the prize!
